Uncommon Wisdom

This series follows the Revised Common Lectionary, but chooses scriptures that are often left out in favor of more familiar texts. Yet we choose to focus on the  “Uncommon Wisdom” found when we choose to look for wisdom in unexpected and uncommon ways—and find that the lessons we may learn are uncommon and even counter-cultural. In a society whose only real success strategies appear to be exploitation, violence, and smear campaigns, these verses will show us another path. These passages might comfort or challenge us in strange ways that we haven’t necessarily come to expect from biblical texts. We hope you will open your heart and mind to understand these texts and challenge yourself to let them speak truth to the realities of today.
