Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season of reflection, repentance, and renewal. The imposition of ashes reminds us of our mortality—yet it is not just a sign of sorrow, but an invitation to live with meaning and purpose. Just as a candle gives light before it burns out, we are called to live fully, love deeply, and seek God’s grace in each moment.
This reflective service, held in partnership with our siblings in faith from Pacific Beach UMC, includes scripture, prayer, and music, culminating in the imposition of ashes. Through these sacred moments, we are invited to pause, acknowledge our need for grace, and begin the Lenten journey with intention.
Our shared worship reflects the deep connection we have as United Methodists—a people bound together in faith and service. Whether you are part of either church or simply seeking a place of reflection, you are welcome.
