La Jolla United Methodist Church proudly presents its annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 4:00 PM. This year’s theme is Journey to Bethlehem. There is an emphasis on English tradition, carols and composers, including several works by John Rutter. “The First Noel” is interwoven with Pachelbel’s “Canon” for a delightful presentation of this English favorite. Contemporary works, rousing gospel tunes and a dramatic closer on “Joy to the World” round out the performance. Participants include the Chancel Choir, Dorian Bells, soloists and orchestra. Light refreshments will be served.
The concert is free to the public. A free-will offering will be taken to fund future concerts at the church. Come early for good seat selection!
