Thursday Bible Study
Our weekly morning Bible study meets each week on Thursdays at 8am. This study follows study guides that could include short-term or long-term studies, academic books, and more. Like our Explorer Adult Class, leadership comes from within this capable and faithful group. Traditional Worship

Point Loma Singers
The La Jolla United Methodist proudly hosts the Point Loma Singers in Concert on Sunday, April 6, 2025 in the sanctuary at 4:00 PM. Representing Point Loma Nazarene University, this highly proclaimed choral group is known for their selection of repertoire, excellent choral tone and concert presentation. They will present a varied program appropriate for all ages and music lovers. The concert is free and open to the public. Come early for best seating.
Maundy Thursday
The Maundy Thursday celebration is traditionally an honoring of Jesus’ last supper with his disciples. Told in all four of the Gospels, this tradition celebrates the institution of Holy Communion. In addition, the Gospel of John tells of a new commandment to love one another. The word “maundy” is from the same Latin root of the word mandate (or commandment). Good Friday
Good Friday is a time to remember the Passion, the interrogation, torture, and crucifixion of Jesus. In the Christian tradition, it is a time of darkness and prayerfulness in authentic consideration of the meaning of the cross in our faith. Please join La Jolla UMC alongside our siblings in faith from Pacific Beach UMC for a sunrise Easter celebration at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 20th.
