Youth Sunday

Today was Youth Sunday.  Lots of fun. I got to play some tunes with the band.  The congregation sang like they were enjoying themselves - I think they were.

Alisa and the youth did a great job of leading worship.  I was proud of their presentation and their contribution to the life of the church.  They are great kids and growing into fine young adults.  They've decided to have a mission focus this year - "Invisible Children" - a group that raises money to aid kids in Uganda.  The story is very moving, check out their website, young people helping young people and changing the world.  I was glad to see our youth get behind the "invisible Children" movement.  I am told that in the special second offering they took in worship today, they collected over $1,300 for IC.  Bless them.    

Besides helping Ugandan kids, they helped us.  Gave us a vision of their future, and how that's starting now, among us.  Very cool.
