2013 Mission Calendar
Welcome to the 2013 Mission Calendar for the La Jolla United Methodist Church! Our goal is to offer everyone who visits this page an opportunity to live out loving our neighbors through mission and service. We hope the information below is helpful for planning purposes and in providing a general overview of the opportunities available. This is not an exhaustive list, however, and the calendar will be updated periodically as other activities are planned. January
1/13: Mission Sunday: “Festival of Service”
February
2/9 :Volunteer at METRO Good Neighbor Center, Saturday from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Address: 906 47th St, San Diego. Look to Sunday bulletin and journal for details.
March
3/3-3/8: Cal-Pac South District Mission Trip – Tornado Recovery Work in Southern Indiana

4/14 : Generate Hope Forum (Human trafficking) speaker
4/20 : CCSA Hunger Walk Saturday at De Anza Cove Mission Bay. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. Walk begins at 8:00 a.m.
May
5/15 : SD Habitat for Humanity Orientation Wednesday eve. LJUMC Fellowship Hall from 7:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m.
June
6/8: San Diego Coastkeeper Beach Clean-Up Saturday at La Jolla Shores. Time to be determined
6/28 : Guatemala Project Work Trip to Chichicastenango, Guatemala, for 11 or 17 days. Project mission: to build wood efficiency stoves, and complete second story on elementary schools
July
7/5 – 7/15: Guatemala Project Work Trip to Chichicastenango, Guatemala. Project mission: to build wood efficiency stoves, and complete second story on elementary schools
August
8/1: CCSA’s Back to School Drive . Backpack collection begins July 29 and ends August 14.
September
9/20: (pending) Monarch School Dinner. Friday evening at Monarch School San Diego
