Acts of God
There has been a overwhelming number of weather catastrophes this spring. Tornadoes, heavy rains and floods, earthquakes ... used to be people called these "acts of God." Newsweek has an article this week entitled "Weather Panic" that stresses the human cause of these weather spasms - climate change triggered by carbon emissions. We're beyond the tipping point, so we can no longer hope to prevent the effects; it now just a matter of copping with the unfolding damage of extreme weather and rising sea water. Time to call this phenomena what it is... "acts of man."
