Family Friendly Concerts Return October 28 at 4:00 p.m.

Date & TimeSunday, October 28, 2018, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Family Friendly Concerts at LJUMC are returning!  Save Sunday, October 28 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.  We will welcome Courtly Noyse.

This talented and interesting group of six performers brings a unique blend of humor, imagination, and versatility in the performance of Renaissance music.  The performance is especially fitting for our goal of interesting children (and all audience members) in music and various musical instruments.  The names of the instruments in this concert “tickle the imagination”—viola da gamba, vielle, krummhorns, cornamuse, cornetti, bowed psaltery, gemshorns, rackett, along with the familiar recorder, mandolin and various percussion instruments.

In keeping with the Family Concerts Series’ goal of interesting children in music and various musical instruments, the concert will begin with an introduction of the instruments.  After a short intermission the remainder of the program will be devoted to your enjoyment of the music.

THERE IS NO ADMISSION CHARGE.  A freewill offering will compensate the musicians for their time.  An opportunity to meet the musicians will follow the concert.  Come one and all—children of ALL ages, parents, grandparents.  Invite your neighbors!

If you would like addition information on this and/or future concerts, please contact George Anderson at
