District Youth Service Weekend at Camp Cedar Glen

The youth of LJUMC will join the youth of the San Diego United Methodist Churches for a wonderful opportunity to help spruce up our local camp ground.

Starting Friday evening we will start helping with various projects that are needed to keep Camp Cedar Glen as wonderful and welcoming as we want it to be. This is a great way for youth who enjoy summer camp to give back in a way that benefits them as past and future campers.

There is a modest cost for this weekend, just enough to cover the cost of food ($35), and we will return back from the mountains by Sunday evening.

We need lots of help, both youthful and parental, so sign up for this service trip now!

Adult Sunday School: Explorers Class

All adults are welcome to attend our weekly Explorers class, with coffee and goodies provided! Each week we explore a different topic, usually a current event, and look at it from the point of view of scripture and United Methodist tradition.

Special Chancel Choir Music

Children process into the sanctuary to start our Palm Sunday worship. Palm fronds are provided. Our annual Easter Egg Hunt immediately follows Sunday School for children up to 5th grade. Please RSVP to Pastor Diane, so that we are sure to have enough eggs and goody bags for all the children.

Concert: Chancel Choir - Gospel Glory

The Chancel Choir commemorates Easter Week by singing the Gospels of the Kingdom. Featured will be familiar tunes such as “Do Lord, Remember Me”, “Shall We Gather at the River”, “Just a Closer Walk With Thee” and “Ain’-a That Good News”. Come join the Choir and Soloists and celebrate the Joys of the Resurrection. A free-will offering will be taken to support the music programs of the Choir.
